Full-screen presentations available with our iframe block improvements
Usually, people think of iframes as a way to bring in parts of other web pages to add outside visual elements. Embedded YouTube videos are iframes, for example.
Newspack now makes it possible to present that content in more impressive ways, and it’s not just for outside content.

The content of the iframe can be uploaded to your site, such as a special project you may have created and saved on a subdomain. Or, more typically, you’ll drop in the URL of the element you want to bring in.
The block itself will offer some guidance when you first place it after searching for “iframe.”
Once on the page, the block controls in the right-hand settings column will let you define the size of the frame, or flip a toggle to make it fullscreen.
It’s not easy to show what fullscreen looks like in this newsletter, so you should watch the video, or experiment with it yourself. It’s a striking way to show off your content.

Newspack is going with the flow and now supports Fluid Ads from Google Ad Manager
The continued development of our advertising plugin brings us this week the addition of the “fluid” ad size.
Newspack’s Katie Rethman gave a terrific demonstration of these during the Tuesday call, and you can see it here, starting at the 5-minute mark.
This ad size lets Ad Manager automatically size the ad by filling the width of the enclosing column and adjusting the height as appropriate. You can create a fluid-only ad unit (you’ll want to do this for Multiplex), or use ‘fluid’ within a multi-size ad unit that also accepts standard sizes as a way to increase competition and fill rate.

Service puts stylebook in your Slack
